Dynamic presentations - Use your voice
Below are some simple but effective techniques to ensure that you give Dynamic Presentations, not dull ones. Your voice is key. You probably know all or most of them. But ask your self, honestly; do you actually follow them? Here they are:
Do
- Do project your energy and enthusiasm
- Do increase your volume
- Do pause and breathe to let attendees digest information
- Do smile
Don't
- Don’t read slides or memorize a script
- Don’t end a statement with the intonation of a question
- Don’t talk faster to cover more content or because time is running out
- Avoid the use of qualifiers i.e. hopefully, I think
- Don’t let your voice lose energy at the end of a sentence
- Don’t begin sentences with So, Actually, Ok...
